The 40V max XGT® Brushless 8-1/2” Dual-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw (GSL02Z, Tool Only) provides 4,800 RPM for faster and smoother cutting. The rail-forward design maximizes workspace when the Miter Saw is positioned flush against a wall. The miter saw has a large 2-3/4” x 12-1/4” cutting capacity at 90-degrees. The saw miters 0° to 60° left and right and bevels from 0° to 48° (left and right).The efficient brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer tool life. The GSL02Z features Automatic Speed Change™ technology to adjust cutting speed and torque under load for optimum performance and a soft start to suppress start-up reaction for smooth start-ups and longer gear life. Extension wings all for cutting longer materials and retract for easier storage. An electric brake provides maximum productivity.For improved efficiency, it is equipped with Auto-start Wireless System technology. AWS® utilizes Bluetooth® technology for wireless communication between the tool and dust extractor (sold separately). When the trigger of the AWS-equipped GSL02Z is engaged, the AWS-equipped dust extractor powers-up. When the trigger is released, the dust extractor powers-down. AWS is intelligent communication that eliminates cords and excessive noise since the dust extractor runs only when the tool is running.XGT is a system of equipment, tools, batteries and chargers utilizing 40v max lithium-ion batteries.
