Woodpeckers launched StealthStop over a year ago as a fence and stop system to build into your miter saw station. A few of them were brainstorming in the shop one afternoon and realized the miter station isn't the only place StealthStops can come in handy. A few minutes later they had a StealthStop track attached to a SawStop miter gauge using nothing more than two track nuts and a couple machine screws. The next day they found it just as easy to insall on a Powermatic miter gauge.

For just about every other miter gauge ever made...new or old, big or little...a simple plywood interface is all you need. Drill a pair of holes to attach the plywood to your miter gauge and another pair to attach the StealthStop track and you're good to go. You'll have better support for your material and a pair of flip stops you can use over the entire length of the back fence.

StealthStop speeds up your work and improves the consistency of your crosscuts by using a phsyical stop to make repetitive cuts. The low-profile stops are competely out of the way when not needed, but flip out into action instantly. You can dial in their exact position with the built-in micro-adjuster. With their side-swinging design, they work just as efficiently on the sharp mitered ends as they do on square cuts.

To support your material all the way through the cut, you can add a sacrifical end block to the StealthStop track. They're available in 3-Packs or you can make them yourself. Just add them to the end of the fence and eliminate backside chip out.
